Shock&Heavy Music Artwork present: Rites of the Abyss-The Genesis and History of Greek Black Metal


The book that chronicles the genesis and expansion of the Greek black metal scene through three infernal decades got published by Heavy Music Artwork (UK) in October 2021. Written by Aris Shock in English and available from Heavy Music Artwork on softback and hardback versions, with 220 colored velvet pages, it contains exclusive comments from members of Rotting Christ, Varathron, Necromantia, Thou Art Lord, Disharmony, Nergal, Twilight, Kawir, Macabre Omen, Medieval Demon, Embrace of Thorns, Αχέροντας, Terra Tenebrae/Souslkinner, Slaughtered Priest, Aenaon, Lucifer’s Child, Akrotheism, Celtefog, Dødsferd, Drama Noir, Funeral Storm, Katavasia, Empire of The Moon, Chaosbaphomet, Ravencult, Serpent Noir, Synteleia, Yoth Iria, Zaratus and more. SHOCK BOOK IN DEVELOPMENT

 THE STORY OF THE GREEK BLACK METAL SCENE BOOK IN DEVELOPMENT UNDER THE SHOCK BANNER


Following previous entries of SHOCK into black metal music, we are now in the process of an English-language printed book documenting the story of the Greek black metal scene from its early days up to the present. The old and new bands, the studios and labels, the fanzines, metal clubs and live venues and many more. The book will include comments and memories from several members of the movement and will be an in-depth analysis and also a memoir of the scene, accompanied by photos and a lot of trivia. Stay tuned for the progress of the book and long live the abyss!
